Have you guys seen Target’s new Made By Design line? They started rolling out the collection slowly, and the line reminds me a lot of Muji. The neutral palette and clever solutions have me dying to move into our townhouse to start organizing! I’ve already bought a few pieces to hold us over while we’re house sitting, so check out some of my favorites pieces & let me know what you have your eye on!
Better Kitchen Basics
Kitchen Shears with Soft Grip $8
I’m so glad Target is updating their usual standard kitchen shears. The basic, Room Essentials ones always gum up after a few months and IKEA discontinued my favorite pair. These new ones have a soft grip & detachable blades for easy cleaning!
Glass Mixing Bowl Set of 10 $23
The most complete set of prep bowls! I firmly believe every kitchen should have a set of stainless steel & glass prep bowls and these are perfect.
All of the beech wood pieces are wins, but my must have would be the rolling pin. The slightly tapered handles are set in easy-glide connectors and feels so good in hand. Just be sure to condition with wood butter.
Stainless Steel Silverware Set $20
A modern silverware set that doesn’t have obnoxiously long handles! (seriously though, has anyone else noticed this?) The heft is somewhere between our standard, high-range IKEA line & our nicer, Dansk sets guests gifted us for our wedding.
Pan Organizer $13
This is the first things I bought from the line to store baking sheets and pans. I absolutely love not having to rearrange the cabinet everytime I want something from the bottom of the pile!
Can Organizer $10
This one I can see either being fantastic or extremely limiting with the size of cans it can hold. Might end up dragging one to the canned aisle for testing 🔍
Pantry Storage Container Collection $36
Having a matching set of storage is so nice. Having the option to mix & match a set to your heart’s content is even nicer. The containers felt very solid in person and the lids very secure.
Kitchen Cabinet Over The Door Organizer $15
So clever! The basket side goes inside the cabinet to hold cleaning supplies & the wooden bar stays out to hold dish towels. They have another option for holding paper towels too!
Stacks, on stacks, on stacks of clean, white produce bins! Great for bulky dry goods & organizing kitchen linens.
Bathroom Finds
Acrylic Organizer Trays $5-13
These solid, no-fuss acrylic trays are made to stack with each other and other Made By Design pieces like their lipstick or nail polish organizer.
Speaking of which, tada! My nail polish is haphazardly shoved in a drawer and always makes me nervous they might spill. Maybe I’ll stack this with a tray filled with cotton pads & nail files for a manicure station?
Frosted Plastic Organizers $1-4
Frosted bin options for slightly more unsightly items.
Washable Rug $10-130
This washable rug comes in standard sizes which lets you get the large, area rug feel in the bathroom without fear of molding.
Around the House
Float Frame $15
Think of float frames as modern shadow boxes. These would be perfect for framing wedding invitations or concert tickets.
Obsessed with the seamless frame & slick, locking wheels.
It’s a basic white basket. Nothing wrong with that. Use with an open credenza or floating shelf to wrangle candles or plants.
Closet Picks
Closet Rod $20
A weird one to add to the list, sure, but finding a sturdy, matte black closet rod is tricky enough to make this a great buy. Plus, you’ll know your other Made By Design closet organizers will match exactly.
A nice upgrade from the bent metal hanger DIY.
Pants Hanger $7
Look closely at the rung ends- each one pops up so you can slide pants/skirts on without have to awkwardly fight to drape them over each other!
Over The Door Shoe Organizer $20
3 little details make me want to give this shoe organizer a try. The mesh front lets you see all your shoes easily without being the usual cheap, noisy plastic, the side view actually lets you see & maintain your shoes’ shape, and the little accessory tray on top is just brilliant.
Garment Rack $40
On the more affordable side of garment racks without giving up any ~*aesthetic*~.
