It’s here! It’s finally here! Target’s new Project 62 line is fully available online and it is taking all my willpower to not just hop in the car and go! (That and the fact my wallet is en route from Michigan after going to a wedding this weekend so…)
Between the highly anticipated, gorgeous pieces and some that just look like re-packaged Threshold items (I see you Target) there is so much to sort through. Luckily I was the kind of student who read textbooks cover to cover and am the kind of shopper who delights in going through all 863 items 😉So I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites here to cut through the noise. I’m currently all in with what Emily Henderson has deemed ‘California Casual‘. It pairs extremely well with existing pieces as it is a very neutral base that frees you up to play with textures. So enough talking and more scrolling!
Esters Wood Arm Chair Husk $230
That warm wood, those linen cushions! This chair makes me want to install floor to ceiling windows and read magazines to an heirloom citrus tree. Reviews warn that it is smaller than you expect though, so maybe perfect for an apartment reading nook?
Ryder Accent Stool $70
Yes, yes, yes. Just enough detail to keep it looking like a smoothed out, characterless trunk.
Textured Throw Pillow $20
Nate Berkus for Target is my usual go-to for throw pillows, but these are just as neutral and nice. The Berry and Navy options would be perfect for fall.
Glass Whiskey Decanter $10
Somewhere along the way, Pinterest convinced us all that we aren’t living until we have a styled bar cart. I was hesitant to commit to the West Elm counterparts at $30, but the shape of the Project 62 one has me looking through the cocktail archives.
20pc Stainless Steel Flatware Set $30
Nothing quite makes you learn you have #nochill like starting a wedding registry. Quality flatware seems like a huge commitment when you aren’t sure if you’ll still love that modern, long-handled style in 30 years. These are a good middle ground 👍
Large Salad Serving Bowl $20
Black is the perfect pop in the neutral palette.
Mango Wood Taper Candle Holder $13
Mango wood is a perfect stand-in for higher-end materials. The grain and color bring so much warmth they’re inspiring my next Thanksgiving table already! Target has them in various woods and a pillar version as well.
Modern Vases, Medium & Large $15, $20
These vases have been in every press release for Project 62. Imagine them with a single statement frond on your table.
Framed Watercolor Abstract Blue $40
Honestly, I just want this for the frame and mat. I love the asymmetrical, horizontal mat and want to pop in some beach shots.
Honorable Mentions
Alright, these guys aren’t neutral but come on. Look at them. They’re demanding attention (in a very understated, tasteful way) so let’s give it to them.
Indigo Modern Lines Area Rug $130
I’m itching to see this in person to cover up our standard grade, renters beige wall-to-wall carpet. If only this were taupe and white it would be perfectly Californian!
Copper Serving Bowl $16
Sadly, copper does not fit the California aesthetic. But it does fit mine so into the honorable mentions it goes! I really want to turn it into a planter. They also have a copper punch bowl which has the most amazing shape and clever, attachable ladle. And it’s dishwasher safe so really, what are you waiting for?
Blush Table Clock $10
While blush is usually a neutral, this one gets shuffled to the bottom of the warm wood and off-whites roundup. Though if I had any reason for a tabletop clock, this would be the one.
Have you checked out the new collection? What pieces are in your cart?
