I honestly never thought I’d be a gallery wall person. I usually lean more towards having one, large, dramatic piece so I don’t have to deal with coordinating artwork, frames, spacing, the whole everything about it. Then I just stuck a few frames on our living room wall to get a sense for a shelf and Michael and I stepped back, stared at it, and thought wait, we like this. Then, of course, October came around and I couldn’t leave our usual pieces in there. It was a prime spot for some easy Halloween swaps after all!
I love how all the warm blacks, greiges, and textures work together! I got a few of these printed and added variation by burning the edges of some, layering others over non-traditional mats, and incorporating a few past projects (can you spot the skeletal hand vignette?) and new Halloween DIYs as well (palmistry tapestry how-to coming your way soon!). All in all, it only cost about $20 to completely change over the living room and really get us ready for Hallow’s Eve. 👻
