Second Indie Passport Coffee Cafe Review! Continuing the cafe hoping, this time all the way out to Rogers Park. If you haven’t checked it out yet, hop on over to this post to see what ICP is, how it works, and how you can start your own coffee adventure.

Sol Cafe is a beautiful industrial chic cafe that proudly serves local, artisanal goods. Much like Cup & Spoon from the 1st review, they have a rotating gallery of local artists, wifi, and print station. I recommend going on the weekend. They’ll have specialty doughnuts from Do Rite Donuts. This month, they’re offering $1 small coffee on Mondays! If you’re doing ICP, these are the drinks your passport can get you.
- Espresso
- Pour Over Coffee
- 8oz Seasonal Latte Hot
- 12oz Seasonal Latte Iced
- 8oz The Q
- 8oz House made Chai Hot
What I had:
The Q
Blueberry scone
Detecting a trend here- blueberry desserts & the special name drink? It worked before. The Q has espresso, something called the “Jo Snow Q Sauce”, & topped with smoked paprika. Base espresso, solid- what you would expect from an indie coffee shop. I didn’t taste anything special about the sauce, but the added layer of paprika was nice. The scone was a decent scone, nothing standing out.
*side note: could never get the wifi to open certain links (laptop or mobile) which was not good for productivity. The people around said it was working, just very slowly, so just a warning.*
Next time:
I’ll be getting the Phoenix Fire- a Bonfire Tea with orange vanilla syrup, milk, and pink pepper. And a doughnut!
