I’ve always dreamed of having a “gift closet”, a magical corner of my house that would have beautiful hosting gifts on hand at a moment’s notice. This closet would slowly stock up over the year and be emptied by holiday parties. If you’re like me and don’t have this magical place (yet!) here is the first installment of the 2015 gift guides to help you in a pinch: the host gift.
| Peasant wood spoons (Schoolhouse Electric & Supply Co, $9-34)
| Set of two ferns napkin (Amelie Mancini, $28)
| White marble wine chiller (Crate & Barrel, $30)
| Campfire soy candle (P.F. Candle Co., $18)
| Kinfolk Home, coffee table book (Nathan Williams, $35)
| Concrete soap dish (NSEKDESIGN, $18)
| Memphis III cushion cover (depeapa, $39)
| Mini orbs (A Question of Eagles, $40)
A good host gift should be something unassuming to fit most tastes & something special that one might not feel the need to buy themselves. Small, overlooked places of a home are the perfect niche. Kitchen corners, coffee tables, and even vanity ledges deserve special treatment too.
