Relaxing + Personalized $20 Gift Box Ideas

Relaxing + Personalized $20 Gift Box Ideas

Still looking for the perfect gift? May I suggest a gift box? Themed gift boxes are a great way to package smaller gifts together into one beautiful package. I love love love thinking about a theme and seeing what pieces would make the best story. That’s why I’m so excited to share 3 thoughtful, relaxation themed gift box ideas, all around $20.

Quick Note: All prices are based on original purchase prices (i.e. not including coupons/discounts) for the most accurate estimates. Some items I already had on hand so I have linked similar items. The similar items might not be the same price I found in a local store but should be a good jumping off point. 👍

Relaxing + Personalized $20 Gift Box Ideas

For Self Care + a Little Indulgence

bath salts | $12
bath bomb | $2.50
fancy hair clip | $4

This one felt a little silly to put together in my DIY soul because you can absolutely make this box cheaper if you DIY the bath salts and bath bomb. But the design nerd in me 100% needed these bath salts because of the packaging. 😁I’m a bath salt fiend and have had good luck finding beautiful sets at Home Goods & Target as well! I linked a bath bomb set that comes out to $2.50 per bomb ($15 for 6), or you can buy an individual one for $5.

These tiny hair clips actually came as a set, so you know everyone in my life is getting one as a part of their gift.

For the Crafter

mini canvas | $3
paintbrush | ~$5
paint set | $10
miniature, posable figurine |$8

Alrighty, technically the total cost is over $20, but you can pick up all of the supplies at your local craft store that always runs a 40% off coupon. That would bring everything back under $20 😉. For some of the lower-priced items, craft stores will only show their bulk pricing online. I’ve linked the most comparable options but some are multi-pack- that just means you can make multiple craft gift boxes!

For the extra paints and brushes, I would stash them under the box filling so the giftee would still get the whole set but the presentation would be cleaner.

Relaxing + Personalized $20 Gift Box Ideas

For Your Favorite Tea Sipper or Spiller

loose leaf tea | ~$7
reusable tea bags | $7
tea scoop | ~$6
glass container (optional) | ~$12

Sip sip hooray! Lean into a cozy night at home theme with a box of tea essentials. Go with the giftee’s favorite or introduce them to new blends by making your own.

If you did want to find a glass container for a custom tea blend, it would bump the total box over $20, but it’s also the perfect opportunity to upcycle! I reused a candle container from our wedding which perfectly held 3 oz.!

Have you ever gifted a themed box before? Are there any kinds you’d like to see?

Look twice; it’s no split image, it’s my one of my Look twice; it’s no split image, it’s my one of my favorite parts from the #haileyhome condo. There Michael had his desk shoved in the corner of our small bedroom. As much as I wanted a light and airy feel, the desk always felt unintentionally “floaty”. With just paint and shelves, his desk went from an afterthought to a defined workspace with it’s own voice that felt distinct yet still a part of the room.

In our current house, I’m looking back at this project since next on my list will be Michael’s office! Michael inspired me with his 5 year anniversary gift to me (a nice furniture piece- he definitely knows me ☺️) so my gift to him will be wood shelves for his new office, plus a little space makeover.

Excited to take on a small project while the kitchen reno is underway. It’ll feel nice to feel project progress somewhere and get hands on for the first time since Cade arrived ☺️

It’s worth the space it takes up though. Capturing his growth and personality feels like the greatest privilege. I can’t believe there were only 3 weeks between his newborn and 1 month photos 🥲

I’ll take any and all inducing tips 😅

I’ve been auditioning different rooms around the new house for my studio space. Some have great storage, some have better natural light, but NONE have over headlight lighting. I didn’t think much of it until I tried crafting after work and realized, dang, I really can’t see anything 😅. I tried to make it work with different table lamps, photography lighting, even grow lights (spoiler: do not attempt unless you like being blinded). It wasn’t great. I figured I’d eventually get a proper crafting light, but wasn’t thrilled with the limited, and frankly ugly, options.

I bet you picked up on this from the photo, but I finally found THE solution. @cricut just released their Cricut Bright 360 task lamps and it’s everything I could have ever dreamed of! I’ve been putting this lamp through its paces for a few weeks with nesting DIYs and will have a full review on the blog soon!
