There are few things as elegant as gloves. Contrasted with grungier, tatto-esque ink? Even better. I use to spend days in class just drawing on my hands pretending they were wrist tattoos or tracing palm lines and trying to read what they said. These DIY Halloween Hex Gloves let me tap into those daydreams and you can bet I’ll be finding ways to wear these to work this month.
You’ll Need
sheer gloves
cardstock
black brush pen (you can use a Sharpie but found these to be blacker and cover more area)
hex gloves design template
- Print & cut out the hex gloves design template on cardstock or print out a blank template to create your own. I digitally drew a few designs, used an assortment of icons from the Noun Project, and looked at “tattoo gloves” & hand tattoos for inspiration!
- Insert the cardstock template into the gloves.
- Pull the gloves taut over the cardstock and outline the designs. Carefully work from out to in and fill them in.
I absolutely love working in non-costume pieces into my October closet. I was definitely that girl in Middle School who had different Halloween earrings for every day of the week haha. Besides these gloves, I’m thinking about skeletal headpieces or spiderweb tights next! Do you celebrate Halloween all month long?
P.S. While these gloves would make a subtle and beautiful costume on their own, there are a few other costume ideas in the archives!
